A selection of projects that I've been involved with developing
Samples of Professional work
While much of the work I do lies in conversations, many appropriately rough-looking whiteboards covered with sticky notes, and more than a few emails, here are a few highlights of recent projects that have made it to that 'publicly shareable' milestone.

The STEM project involves development of resources to support K-12 Science and Math teachers in linking instruction to the Trades. This is initiative, led in collaboration between the Centre for Trades and Westwind School Division, is something I have had the opportunity to collaboratively co-lead with a project team since the beginning.

At Lethbridge College, we are currently working on the development of a number of microcredentials that aim to provide short, stackable learning opportunities for professionals who are looking to explore or enhance their skills.

I am sooo proud of this project! Over the past two years, Lethbridge College has engaged students, faculty and industry to identify and design a framework for student core competencies. Students can earn digital badges for the work they do both inside and outside the classroom to demonstrate these competencies.

Lethbridge College has always taken online learning seriously - and with the rapid transition to remote delivery that was necessitated by response to Covid-19, we seized the opportunity to share our learnings with the world. We opened this course to the public with the hopes that we might get up to 50 enrollments... so when we landed above 800 we were amazed. Can't mention this one without a shout out to Andy Benoit and Jessica Nicol who facilitated the delivery.

A presentation I delivered in partnership with Andy Benoit, Educational Development Specialist at Lethbridge College, that focused on the impact of faculty in online student retention. See pg 44 for description. The related paper is currently under revision for publication.

I was honored to work with the Farming Smarter team on development of 360 degree video, VR, a podcast and an app to highlight the groundbreaking research underway in pulse disease, biobeds, crop rotation, hemp among other topics.

With the Digital Learning Team, we endeavored to deliver an annual conference for staff and faculty dedicated to the use of Canvas as an LMS - and it was a hit!

This is a campus-wide resource within the LMS at Lethbridge College. These sort of "community courses" are being created with increased frequency to help programs to communicate to students leveraging the features of an LMS.

This is an asynchronous training course that we adopted as an open educational resource and remixed to suit the needs of our staff and faculty as they onboard to the learning management system for Lethbridge College - Canvas. To date we have awarded 119 badges in this multi-badge course.
