Joelle's Favorite Things:
Math Stuff
These are some of my favorite tools for teaching and learning math. Enjoy!

BEST ONLINE GRAPHING TOOL
Desmos Online Graphing Calculator is the best. I especially like that you can:
- create, save and share graphs online
- use touch to zoom and pan
- animate parameters to show how they influence the shape of a graph
- graph multiple functions in color
- fantastic keyboard
BEST VIDEO TUTORIALS
Khan Academy started out as a series of math video tutorials, and has become so much more. What I love about the video series is:
- comprehensive coverage of math concepts for kindergarten through post secondary levels
- short, concise, using simple language
BEST YOUTUBER
If you're in the mood to have your mathematical mind blown, check out Vihart's Youtube channel . She also crosses over into the land of music.
BEST GRAPHING TOOL FOR COURSE DEVELOPMENT
For teachers writing course materials, Geogebra is a downloadable, open access, latex based graphing tool that seems to groove well with most other programs and platforms. It can take a bit to learn, but there are kind youtubers out there who post tutorials if you're in a pinch. You can create groups to share graphs if your department is feeling cooperative.
